Mini has completed its high-performance John Cooper Works set with the addition of the John Cooper Works Countryman which joins the available three-door, convertible, and Clubman in Australia.
Priced from $56,900 plus on-road costs, the flagship Countryman SUV is powered by Mini’s 170kW turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and linked to All4 all-wheel drive via either a standard eight-speed automatic or no-cost optional six-speed manual.
Standard features for the John Cooper Works Countryman include JCW sports seats trimmed in leather and Dinamica suede-look fabric, a JCW sports steering wheel trimmed in perforated leather with contrast stitching, 19-inch alloy wheels, 12-speaker Harman/Kardon premium audio, Mini Navigation Professional (with 8.8-inch display), head-up display, and 17-inch Brembo front brakes.
Other features standard across the Countryman range include a powered tailgate, keyless entry and start, front and rear park sensors with rearview camera, and active cruise control with Stop and Go function.
Styling revisions see the JCW shipped with piano black roof rails and side sills, chrome-tipped JCW exhaust finishers, and JCW-specific front guard embellishers.
